The Center for Geospatial Information Science (CGIS) recently became an Academic Partner of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF).  The USGIF is a worldwide leader in promoting the geospatial intelligence tradecraft across the defense, intelligence, and academic communities.  This partnership will empower the CGIS play an integral role in advancing the GEOINT tradecraft through interaction with GEOINT community leaders and development of new teaching and research collaborations.  The students in our GEOINT program will benefit from this partnership through expanded access to cutting edge technologies and tradecraft best practices as well as new opportunities to build a diverse professional network.
