Kathleen Stewart (CGIS) and Clement Adebamowo (UMD School of Medicine, Baltimore) have been awarded a University of Maryland Research and Innovation Seed Grant for 2016 for their project,  Geospatial Mapping and Access to Cancer Screening Services in Nigeria, a Low and Middle Income Country. This research will compute spatial accessibility indices in order to understand how to improve the uptake of cervical cancer prevention services and determine optimal locations of prevention services for this part of Nigeria.
