Junchuan Fan, CGIS Post-Doctoral Associate, attended the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C on Monday, January 14, 2019. He presented highlights of CGIS research, "Innovations in Geospatial Information Science: Understanding Human Mobility and More" that was part of a display by the Maryland Transportation Institute.

He and Dr. Kathleen Stewart are co-authors of a paper presented at the TRB Conference as a poster, Nasri, A., L. Zhang, J. Fan, K. Stewart, H. Younes, C. Fu, S. Jessberger (In press) Advanced vehicle miles traveled (VMT) estimation methods for non federal-aid system (NFAS) roadways using GPS vehicle trajectory data and statistical power analysis, Transportation Research Record.
