Congratulations to Dr. Yanjia Cao on the completion of her graduate degree. The Center for Geospatial Information Science has valued her work as a researcher, teacher, and colleague. Dr. Cao will be starting a post-doctoral position in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine this Fall. She will be working on a project on spatial burden of typhoid fever and India's vaccine decision making. Her expertise in spatial statistics and spatial-temporal data modeling in epidemiology will sweep application to public health and saving the lives of over 1 billion people.
