At the UCGIS Summer Symposium in Laramie, WY held from June 23-27, Jeffrey Hammerlinck wrapped up his term as UCGIS President. On July 1, Kathleen Stewart from the University of Maryland began her year as President of this consortium of American universities and colleges with GIS programs. This kicks off an exciting year for Prof. Stewart and the UCGIS that will culminate in next year's Symposium at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD.
