Almost every data point on earth has a geospatial component. As more industries come to understand the importance of data, many are looking to GIS as the platform to join all their data together. We, as GIS professionals, can capitalize on this fact, and expand our skill sets to be more flexible, talented, and above all, more valuable employees to the companies we work with.
